New residential customers may be required to pay a security deposit unless they can demonstrate their creditworthiness. Creditworthiness requirements are defined in the Indiana Administrative Code along with what new residential customers may send to Citizens Energy Group to prove their creditworthiness.
To protect against identity theft, there may be times customers will be required to complete an Identity Verification form, have it notarized and returned to Citizens. If you have been asked to complete this form, see the link below. Most banks and libraries provide notary services onsite for their members. Office printing and shipping stores also provide notary services for a small fee.
