Citizens Energy Group is working with a team of Purdue University and a consulting firm, August Mack Environmental, at the Prospect Street Facility, which was the location of Citizens’ historical manufactured gas plant.
Purdue’s scope of work is to measure constituents of concern in the soil and groundwater below Pleasant Run Creek and to analyze groundwater flow characteristics in and around Pleasant Run Creek. Purdue collects samples from the site, analyzes the samples at their laboratory, measures the creek and groundwater levels, and measures groundwater flow to the stream.
The purpose of this work is to provide information for the design of remedial measures.
