Citizens Energy Group is providing Purdue University’s 2017 senior civil engineering design class with a real world project – how to use an existing quarry adjacent to Geist Reservoir to address future water needs with approximately 2.7 billion gallons of storage.
The project provides students with structural, geotechnical and hydraulic challenges. Students will evaluate quarry stabilization, intake configuration and pump design.
