Citizens Energy Group taught an interactive course to high performing prospective Purdue students through the Experience Purdue, a program designed to allow high school students to 'road test college, Boilermaker-style'.
In this class, students explored and experienced the engineering process and cross-discipline teamwork involved in planning and designing of the Deep Water Reservoir Project.
The students participated in breakout sessions and were challenged with brainstorming design considerations to be evaluated as a part of the feasibility and design process.
Then they were given design factors and had to assign a weighting factor to each (totaling 100%) based on the criticality of that factor.
