In the Spring of 2018 a team of five senior electrical engineering students are investigating the feasibility of generating hydroelectric power from the water that normally passes over the Geist dam spillway.
This includes sizing the equipment, selecting an appropriate technology, estimating total installed cost, investigating utility rates, and determining the final cost/benefit ratio of the proposed system.
