Here’s what to expect during our hiring process.


Application Process

Start by browsing our current job openings and find a role that aligns with your skills and interests. Once you’ve found the perfect fit, submit your application through our online portal.

If you know someone who works at Citizens Energy Group, tap into their knowledge to learn more about our culture and whether you’d be a good fit. Please be sure to list the Citizens employee as your referral source in our system.

We evaluate all applications based on overall experience, education, and skill. If your skills and experience match the criteria for the job, you may be invited to participate in an interview. During this conversation, our recruiter will provide more information about the job and the team responsible for hiring the position.

Our interview process can take place onsite or virtually and, in most cases, you’ll meet with a panel of individuals who understand the needs of the role and what it takes to be successful at Citizens Energy Group. This panel will consist of a diverse selection of employees, including the hiring manager. We encourage candidates to come with an understanding of our business, mission and vision, and ask questions during the process.

Citizens Energy Group utilizes the SHARE behavioral interview model. The SHARE model provides candidates an opportunity to showcase their relevant experience and skills.

Candidates should familiarize themselves with this behavioral interview format and be prepared to answer questions using the SHARE model.






Upon selection, you’ll receive a call from one of our recruiters along with a contingent offer letter. After accepting the offer, a background check and drug screening is required. Once these clearances are obtained, you’ll be given a start date, and we’ll warmly welcome you to Citizens Energy Group on your first day!
