Most Common Cause: Watering the lawn, letting the kids wash cars or simply hooking up a sprinkler toy for a few hours can use a great deal of water, resulting in a higher bill. Recommended Action: Keep track of time that water is in use and be sure spigot is off when finished. |

Common Cause: Accidentally leaving an outdoor spigot on increases water consumption and can happen in both warm and cold weather. If your water usage has spiked and you have an outdoor spigot, ensure all spigots are turned completely off. Recommended Action: Check spigots after every use. |
