Black Stains

Most Common Cause: Black stains around the water’s edge in toilets, bathtubs, sinks, etc. are usually caused by microbial or fungal growth.

Recommended Action: Black stains can be easily removed by regular cleaning with normal household cleansers. If the concern was not resolved after taking the above listed actions, please contact the Marion County Public Health Department or appropriate local health department.
