Pursuit and Capture Manager, Workday

Tracy recently joined Workday as their State government, Local government and Higher Education (SLED) Field CTO providing public sector expertise, insights and leadership for their sales strategy, delivery models and product innovation.

Previously, Tracy served as Indiana’s Chief Information Officer, appointed by Gov. Eric J. Holcomb in March 2020. In that role, Tracy sat on the Governor’s Cabinet overseeing the Indiana Office of Technology and provided strategic oversight of the State’s technology portfolio, as well as leadership on technology, cybersecurity policy and broadband expansion. Tracy also served as the Co-Chair for the Indiana Executive Council on Cybersecurity and as an ex-officio member of the Artificial Intelligence Task Force created by legislation in the 2024 legislative session.

Tracy has been recognized by GovTech magazine in the Top 25 Doers, Dreamers and Drivers and by StateScoop magazine as a GoldenGov State Executive of the Year. Previously, he has also been recognized by the Indianapolis Business Journal as one of the 250 most influential business leaders in Indiana and has also received accolades from the TechPoint MIRA awards and from Junior Achievement for Technology.

Tracy holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Butler University and a M.S. in Cybersecurity Law from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
