Lead Sampling Kit Request Form
Citizens Energy Group provides free water testing for lead to our customers, both residential and commercial, upon request.
While water leaving Citizens Energy Group’s treatment facilities does not contain lead, and water does not pass through lead pipes within the public water distribution system on its way to customers’ homes or buildings, individual customers may own lead service lines or interior plumbing systems that are made of lead or include lead components.
This testing process is intended primarily for residents and owners of buildings constructed before 1987 - the point at which lead solder was banned for use in connecting copper pipe and fittings - and/or those with service lines installed before 1950. Customers with newer homes or buildings and service lines NOT made of lead or lead components are unlikely to have lead in their service line or plumbing.

Does My Service Line Contain Lead?
Through our partnership with 120Water, we will deliver a sampling kit to your address which includes two sample bottles, detailed instructions, and a plumbing questionnaire. You simply collect the water samples and send them back according to the instructions. All samples will be routed to a certified laboratory for analysis. Once analysis is complete, test results will be mailed to you with additional information.
Customers can request one test each year. If you would like to request a sampling kit, please complete the form below.
