Southport Plant
Project Description
The Deep Rock Tunnel Connector captures and conveys combined sewer overflows to the pump station. The core function of the pump station is to empty the tunnel system and deliver the flow to the Southport Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Expansion of Secondary Treatment System from 150 million gallons per day (MGD) to 250 MGD

Enhancement of primary clarification facility

Expansion of headworks including screening, grit removal and new process/yard piping

Southport AWTP will receive flow from the Deep Rock Tunnel Connector Pump Station

Southport AWTP will provide a peak treatment rate of 250 MGD
