Citizens Energy Group wants to thoughtfully grant financial support to organizations which are providing important value to our community and which are aligned with Citizens’ environmental, business, or community sustainability goals —themselves modeled after the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG). Our Philanthropic Partnerships review team will evaluate each funding application, specifically prioritizing proposals which demonstrate that they serve Citizens’ customers/communities and add value in these various categories:

Application Prioritization

In addition to the sustainability categories listed above, the Philanthropic Partnerships review team may specially prioritize partner funding applications which demonstrate:

  • A not-for-profit or tax-exempt organizational designation.
  • A stated commitment to non-discrimination in hiring or programming.
  • An organizational history of successful community impact.
  • A distinct separation from political activities, candidates, or organizations.

Applications are subject to a 90-day review process. Applications submitted less than 90 days prior to the date of need will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
